There are, of course, lots and lots of new beauty and makeup trends for the season, but I chose to talk about two that I, as a makeup enthusiast, hold close and dear to my heart: the cat-eye look and the really dramatic style.
So now summer is oficially gone and, as much as it will be missed, we’re very excited for the weather to cool down. Also, it’s time to start wearing makeup again, in all its power – it was too hot to wear anyhting other than sunscreen and maybe a very light concealer.

In theory, they’re nothing like each other, but it’s okay to love and try them both.
The ‘full-on’ cat-eye
Dark eyeliner on the outer corner is nothing new, it’s actually one of the most famous timeless looks. It never really gets boring, but now they’re back, and I mean totally back. Whether it is just like the 90’s, being discrete and elegant – everybody loves the 90’s, right? - or like the new ‘reverse cat eye’ style, you can’t go wrong with the cat eye this season.
Bring in the drama
If the cat eye is about no colors, just black or dark brown eyeliner and eyeshadow, this is the absolute opposity. This is about everything you can use to creat na eye look. Super colorful and bright eyeshadows are the most popular choice, but you can also go for graphic liners and cute little crystals – or even mix them all together. There’s no line here, when it comes to makeup it is always about expression, so the sky is the limit.
