Skiss Photos: A woman who assumes her flaws and turns them into strength

To begin, can you tell us a bit about yourself and how did you get into the photography world? Do you have any formal training in your background?

As a child, I always had a camera and a book in my hand. After studying art, I devoted myself to law. However, the desire to create has always been present. Expressing myself through painting, music, photography is a vital need. For almost two years, I dedicate myself fully to art and I have made it my profession.

What inspired you to get into fashion and beauty photography?

The fashion world has always intrigued me. How fun it was as a child to discover the collections on catalogs like "La Redoute"!But soon enough, I was struck by the lack of diversity in fashion. As a black woman, who doesn't wear a size 34, I didn't feel represented. Working with models of all ages, origins, sizes is my priority. Mentalities are changing and fortunately...

What's the best part of being a photographer? What do you love the most about your job?

Being a photographer is above all a job that gives me a sense of freedom. I like working with clients who trust my creative sense. It's also great to be able to work as a team with those I love.

What is the best way to find work as a fashion and beauty photographer?

I would love to be at a point where customers, brands are fighting over my services. But for now, I send emails, I dare to call companies.

Do you plan each photo out or are they created more organically?

I prepare each shoot carefully. I make a lot of sketches and write down all my ideas in the many notebooks I have. However, on the day of the shoot nothing goes as planned. Organization is important but the little bit of madness is the final touch

What inspires you and what gives you ideas to create your beautiful images? Can your ideas change depending on the model you are working with?

While I'm reading, watching a good movie, a music video or walking around a park, ideas come when I least expect them. I'm also very addicted to the Pinterest app

What is your vision of the modern woman?

A woman who assumes her flaws and turns them into strength

Who is the person that inspires you the most and why? What will be the suggestions to new photographer?

I admire the great figures of this century and their struggle but I seek above all to be every day a better version of myself. I try to be above all a role model and a source of inspiration for my children and those I love.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

I would love to work one day with artists like Lady Gaga or Cardi B. They are strong women who I love their crazy universe. In France, I would love to photograph the singer Yseult.

What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?

I am currently working on my first exhibition "The Greek Goddesses". It will be an exhibition with photography, painting and sculpture. A way to discover my universe

Where can we see more of your works and get connected with you?

First of all, I would like to thank your team for highlighting my work. You can follow me on Instagram to learn more.
