Olessia, can you tell us about yourself, please. Where do you live now and where are you from? How did you discover photography and what motivated you to get started?

I am from Russia, I live in the Krasnodar Territory. At first I worked as a make-up artist, then I decided to master photography in order to shoot my work.

Can you please explain some of the feelings you are trying to achieve in your photographs?

With my work, I try to convey the idea that absolutely all people are beautiful, the main thing is to find how to show and emphasize this.

What gives you ideas and what inspires you to create your beautiful images?

The entire world around us is a source of inspiration, from the simplest to the most complex things at first glance. The main thing is to look at the right angle.

What is it like being a female photographer in a field dominated by men?

I am in a slightly different position from male photographers, since the entire photo shoot, from start to finish, is my creation. The idea, selection of a model, location, clothing and accessories, makeup, hairstyle, the shooting process itself, retouching are all my work. In most cases, in one photo session, I try to make at least three different looks for one model.

What do you like to do when you are not behind the camera?

Probably everything is the same as the others - I spend time with my family, communicate with friends. But in parallel, the brain is always looking for new ideas for inspiration. I am Aquarius - and Aquarius is always a little creative.

How important is it to stay up-to-date on the latest trends to be successful in what you do?

Probably important, but I believe that photography conveys beauty, and beauty is a relative concept and is beyond time and trends.

What would be some tips you would give to a beginning photographer?

Don't be afraid to experiment. Always try to find its uniqueness in the model

What would be your tips/advice to models looking to expand their portfolio?

As many diverse photo sessions as possible. Try to work with photographers in different directions.

What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?

At the moment, I am very interested in portrait photo sessions, both male and female. There are a lot of plans, mainly in this direction.
