When did your passion for photography start and what were the main milestones that turned you into the artist you currently are?

My adventure began a few years ago, when I was in a very difficult moment in my life. In fact, it was photography that found me on its own and gave me relief. At first it was just a passion but later it turned into my profession.

It's hard to say when there was a breakthrough in my creative work. I think of photography as a process that I am in all the time and which teaches me perseverance and courage to constantly gain new skills

Marcelina, tell us a secret, what is the key to getting the best out of someone for portrait and beauty shots?

The key to a good portrait is to make the model forget that she is being photographed and allow her to express herself during the session. then the most natural and, in my opinion, the most beautiful portraits are created. You also have to remember about photo processing. Getting the right lighting and retouching skills takes years of practice, and it's worth trying different things

What do you hope people take away from viewing your images?

I hope my photos show that everyone can have a beautiful photo

How do you use social media in conjunction with your business? What role does it play in your job?

I use social media as my portfolio. This is where I make my first contacts with models and clients

What advice would you give to someone looking at a career in photography?

The best advice I could give to someone who starts taking pictures is to look for their own style, take a lot of pictures because that's the best practice, and believe in themselves and what they are doing. Of course, it is important not to compare yourself with others because photography should come straight from the heart and what you feel.

What is photography according to you?

For me Photography It's catching the moment and keeping it forever. It is freedom and space for self-expression and not only photographic but also spiritual development

What is typically in your camera bag and what is your favorite photography accessory, other than your camera?

I have several cameras that I use but I take photos mainly with the Canon 5d Mark IV

I also use a Sigma art 50mm 1.4 lens and a Canon 85mm 1.4 lens I love different reflections and often use a prism that I put on the lens. It's a great trick to take an intriguing photo

How was your first shooting? What did you shoot?

My first photos were taken with the iPhone 5s, which I always had at hand when walking my dog. I photographed light, shadows and various details. Later, I started taking portraits when I got my first camera. My first model was my beloved husband

What inspires you and what gives you ideas to create your beautiful images?

Everything that surrounds me is my inspiration. I often come up with ideas just before going to bed or when I listen to my favorite music that gives me pictures. People and their stories are also often my inspiration. I also look at albums of great photographers and learn to observe light

What are your goals/plans for the future? Is there somebody you are fascinated about and you'd like to work with in the future?

In the future, I would love to take portraits of interesting people from the world of art. There are also a few photographers who inspire me, but I'd rather work alone

Where can we see more of your works and get connected with you?

My works can be seen most often on instagram. I try to post my works there regularly (instagram.com/melograf)

Or on my website (melograf.pl)
