Lourdie, how did you get involved with modeling? Where are you based now?

I started modeling at a very young age. I was about 7 years old when I got my first print job. I’m currently based out of the beautiful sunshine state of Florida.

What do you love most about being a model? And, what do you least enjoy?

I love traveling and modeling has given me so much opportunities to travel and see different countries. The least thing I enjoy about modeling is the early call times. I remember doing a runway show in the evening and having to be on set the following day at 5am for hair and makeup; definitely a rough start.

Tell us more about yourself. What else do you do next to modeling?

I am currently a digital creator. Most people know the term social media influencer. As an influencer I have been given so much opportunities working with brands and companies from all over the world. I use my platform to inspire and use my sense of style to draw attention to my Instagram. I recently launched my skincare line called Loudee Skincare. I was having so many issues with my skin and couldn’t find any over the counter products that were all natural that worked. I went to the dermatologist but the medication they gave me caused more irritation to my skin. So I decided to research what women in the ancient times used to help clean up and clear up there skin naturally. I documented everything via Instagram from the ingredients to steps of even making the products at home. My skin cleared up quickly and I finally achieved having healthy skin. My followers loved it and started requesting I make them a batch of what I was using and that was the birth of Loudee Skincare. It’s all natural vegan based products that I originally made for men and women of color, but people of all races have brought and use my products because it works. I also have a digital creators course where I teach everyday people how to monetize there social media platform. Why not learn how to make money for being YOU?!? I’m working on a creating a webinar as well.

What fuels your imagination and provides you with inspiration?

Everything around me fuels my imagination. I was always that kid who would lay on the grass and imagine what image I saw in the cloud. I always kept that kid spirit with me. I could look at a rose and from the rose come up with a dope outfit. This world may have its ups and downs but how can you not be inspired by the beautiful things that surround you.

In your own eyes, how has modeling experience changed you as a person? What did you learned?

Modeling has definitely given me tough skin. In this business you definitely have to change your perspective. It taught me to look as rejection as a sign of being one step closer to the job of your dreams. I use to get so bother as any normal person would when I didn’t get the job I went out for on casting calls, but one day I meet this amazing old woman who told me that for every No in life God has a bigger Yes. Change my life and my perspective. I’ve learned how to network and interact with different people from different cultures. Modeling has been sort of the silent teacher who is not physically present.

Share your wildest photo-shoot/modeling story.

My wildest photo was the one I took with a 9 feet snake. I was so scared out of my mine. It took us longer too shoot because I didn’t want to touch the snake. It all worked out in the end because the snake was harmless. I got myself all worked up for no reason. Lol

What is the most courageous thing you ave ever done?

I took a leap of faith and started my own business. I can’t lie it was terrifying only because I didn’t think at the time I could handle it all with my busy schedule.

What is the beauty trick you do before a photo-shoot?

Ladies let me give you the ultimate beauty secret! If you have and light spots or open pores use all natural aloe two to three days before your photo shoot. The aloe will not only tighten your pores and skin causing you to look like you got a facelift but it will remove spots on your face. Please note the darker the spots the longer the length of time you will need for it to work. I also have a serum called “recovery serum” from my skincare line Loudee. It does the same exact thing.

Is there anything you would change about the modeling industry if you could?

I definitely would like to see more women of color and more women who are curvy. The truth is we’re not all size small. I do believe that the modeling industry is starting to wake up and slowly making the changes.

What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?

I am excited to announce that I will be hosting my first women’s empowerment event. It’s always been my dream to connect more entrepreneur women with other entrepreneurs women from all of the world. We need more BOSS CHICKS in the world. The goal is to teach, show and give women the tools to be successful. The modeling world has taught me the importance of networking. Who knows the women you meet at my event could be the reason your business goes to the next level.
