Dedicated to: Brittany BattistaHappy to have you here, Kristian. Tell us your story, how did you get started modeling and where is your home at the moment?
Thank you so much for having me. I am new to modeling. I started for fun. It was a release from my graduate course workload and kinda took on a life of its own. I am an American citizen, UK citizen and Knight of the sovereign military order of Sealand. I currently reside in Rockland New York.
What are your favorite genres and styles of modeling? In your opinion, what are your strongest features as a model?
My favorite would be self-portraits. I was always fascinated by them. Frida Kahlo growing up was one of my favorite artist who used them in her paintings. And her work kinda always moved me deeply as an artist. As for my strongest features I would say I’m really good at expressing emotions in my photos. I am also an actress so that definitely does help me reach those moments.
What is the most challenging being a model?
Time. My schedule is kinda crazy right now, so finding time to do an all day photo shoot has been pretty hard for me. Some how I’ve made it work but it takes a lot of planning to happen.
If you could change something in the modeling world, what would it be?
Access. I would want to open it to more people and give everyone an equal opportunity to shine and be part of this beautiful art medium.
What fuels your imagination and provides you with inspiration?
I am deeply inspired by collaboration. I find that it helps me grow as an artist and it’s so much fun to bring something new and beautiful to life with another person.
What’s one of the most interesting shoots that you've done?
I was on set doing a vampire themed photo shoot and it was just so much fun getting to play with the fake blood and setting up the scene. It reminded me a lot of theater and setting up the stage.
If you could say something to everyone on the planet, what would it be?
You are beautiful and important and loved. I feel that some people don’t hear that enough in their day to day lives. So just wanted to remind them of their worth and value ❤️
When you want to unwind, what are your favorite go-to activities?
I love hanging with friends and either watching anime or movies or playing card games. Uno is my favorite by far.
What's something you haven't achieved but hope to?
I want to start my own film production company and create feature films and tv shows.
What projects are you working on next, and what are your goals for the future?
Right now I’m a graduate candidate and working towards obtaining my master’s degree. After that I’m jumping into filmmaking and also creating live theater projects with that production company that I mentioned. It’s kinda been a big dream of mine for a while now and it’s about time I made it an reality.
