A fashion editorial – or even a fashion film – is the whole presentation of a brand, a model or a photographer, that’s why it have to be so carefully done. It’s not a simple task, the team has to find a way to promote their personality, their identity and mix it with the concept. That´s why a good editorial needs a lot of planning. They’re just as important as taking great pictures. In fact, great pictures can’t even be taken if you don’t work on those things before.
People are not machines, we can’t just work regardless of everything else. Good work comes from good communication and good mood.
Visual identity is very important in all things, but it is even more when it comes to making art. The cenary sets up the aesthetic of the editorial, it’s - literally – the place where it all happens. Invest time and patience into creating the perfect one for you, it will help the models to feel the vibe better and will assure you great photos.
And finally, we got into the final tip: take amazing pictures. The right light, the right angle, the right mood, how comfortable the model is with the photographer, how comfortable the photographer is with the model. The people who are going to see the photos will see and feel all that, and you want them to have a nice feeling. Again, to have a team that is united is key.
