Dopamine is a type of neurotransmitter, our body makes it and our nervous system uses to send messages between nerve cells. It plays a big role in how we feel pleasure and helps us strive, focus, and find things interesting. So, basically, it is a big part of what makes us happy.
And that’s what the new trend is about: bringing happiness. We already know that our clothes have a major role in our personality and feelings, so why not use them to feel better? We all could use a little happiness every now and then.
Globally, people intend to buy things and clothes as ‘selfcare’ in 2021, as their own personal gift to themselves after going through 2020. Colorful clothes are being designed and bought more and more every day in every fashion category: ready-to-wear, shoes and even jewerly – specially the most bright and vibrant colors, such as pink, orange and red.
We do associate the trend with colors and bold combinations, because it’s the most “expected” thing, but there’s not right or wrong when it comes to personal taste - and that’s what happiness is about. So, unlike the others trends, this one doesn’t have a specified type of clothes or style, this one is about wearing whatever brings you confort and the confidence to be happy. For some people this is a lot of colorful pieces and bright jewels, for others is a simple and neutral outfit – and they’re both equally great.
It’s a great opportunity to try new things and learn some new things about yourself, you might find happiness in different places.
