Yana, can you please briefly introduce yourself. How your interest in photography has sparked?
A bank employee in the past, a mother of two, and a crazy photographer in the present. It's all me. I became a photographer in 2018, and my love for the unusual appearance of each person led me to the world of photography. I want to capture many different and certainly beautiful people.
How would you describe your work to someone who has never seen it? Is there any message you would like your photos to convey?
The real me, what is he (she) like ? What is my mood today? How do I want to remember myself? What does my body , my eyes , my soul say about me? My works will be the answers to these questions.
The uniqueness of each person, the beauty of his soul, the beauty of his inner world, the beauty of his body, the beauty of his energy is closer than we all think.
How do you keep yourself productive and retain your creative edge?
It is necessary to constantly look for inspiration, in nature, in the weather, in people, in animals, in emotions, in everyday life. After all, everything amazing is right in front of our eyes. Get inspired every day and everything else will be possible!
Describe please a day at a shoot, what happens and what is the trick to capturing a great shot?
Great shots will turn out by themselves, if you find an EMOTIONAL contact with the model, then make-up, hairstyle or clothing brands will not matter at all. The main PERSON in the frame.
I always drink coffee and chat for a long time after shooting, I like to stay well acquainted with my models.
What do you look for in a creative team? What key skills are you looking for to ensure you are picking the best artists to work with?
At the moment, I work alone, hair and makeup, image selection-all this depends only on me and my model. So I can be sure that in the photos we will get exactly what we need.
What would be some tips you would give to a beginning photographer?
Love taking pictures, love your photos and believe in your success every day!
Can you please explain some of the feelings you are trying to achieve in your photographs?
My photos should evoke a desire to find a piece of the character or appearance or mood of the model.They should inspire a desire to get to know me as a person. You should want to take photos with me.
What would be your tips/advice to models looking to expand their portfolio?
Don't be afraid to trust new, young and aspiring photographers. They can reveal you more than experienced photographers can. Constantly practice and expand your posing skills. Step out of your comfort zone.
What has been the highlight of your career so far and what are your hopes/dreams for the future?
The brightest event in my favorite photo is still to come! But printing in your magazine is a great joy and a small happiness for me. A breath of inspiration for further creative work. I thank your entire team for the honor and look forward to working with you in the future!
