Chroma + Exclusive Interview with Borys Zazimko
Please briefly tell us about your background. Who is Borys Zazimko as an artist?
Hi, I’m Borys Zazimko and I’m a beauty and fashion photographer and retoucher from Kyiv, Ukraine
We admire the exquisite level of detail in all your works. Does your creative process start from a certain image in your mind, or do you seek inspiration as you progress?
My creative process very volatile, it starts from inspiration, then I look for references which can reflect my idea, so I can show them to my team, and after it whole idea get modified by “reality”. It always can change from a bit to whole idea on set or during the shoot and sometimes changes works for the better.
What made you get into photography?
I always was inspired by people and their beauty so I wanted to keep such fleeting moments of their lives, because some moments are priceless and it’s always nice to not always have memory of them but also have pictures which can reflect it through time.
What do you think is the hardest thing in your life you've ever had to overcome?
For my opinion nowadays people’s mental health is a huge deal, and especially artists struggle with them the most and so do I. My depression was hardest thing to overcome and I hope we will never meet again.
What are your goals for the near future and do you have any exciting project you want to share with us?
I’m inspired with VFX effects and 3D graphics for now, so I’m working on learning this type of art. My goals for nearest future are to “get modified” to a new level of art and create a digital model. I think I will show you my digital model in the nearest future and who knows maybe one day she/he will become a super model.
